Managing Explicit Content Tags

When do I need to mark my track as Explicit?

Marking your content accurately is essential. If a track contains explicit material but is marked as "Clean" (or vice versa), stores will remove the release.

What counts as Explicit?

• Heavy profanity (cursing).
• Direct references to violence, illegal drug use, or highly explicit sexual behavior.
• Explicit language or imagery present on the artwork.

If your track contains any of the above, make sure to check the Explicit box during the upload process. If your track is an instrumental or contains no profanity, leave it as Clean.
